Academic Year

NBMS generally follows the Lincoln County School district calendar. Our school year starts just after Labor Day and continues until mid-June. We break for Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Spring Break, and holidays on the same dates as LCSD. There may be some days that LCSD lists as no school for professional development or conference days, that NBMS will be open. We let families know about these well in advance.

Each week, NBMS is open Monday-Thursday. Our main school day is 9:00am-3:00pm, and we also offer extended care starting at 8:00am and going until 4:00pm.

We also offer a six-week summer program, which runs from late June to early August. The daily schedule is similar to our program during the school year, so children who are already part of our community will be able to maintain the progress they have made. We will spend more time outside, exploring, creating, gardening, and of course, visiting the beach! For the summer program, we welcome children who are currently enrolled, as well as children who may be just visiting for the summer. Summer is billed week by week to allow for family vacations and plans. Families who enroll for all six weeks receive a 10% discount.

Enrollment process

The enrollment process typically follows these steps:

You indicate your interest in the school via email or by contact form. We will reach out for an initial conversation and to schedule a tour.
Following the tour, we will send you an information packet that includes an application.
You return the application along with the $100 application fee.
The school director determines a start date and sends an enrollment offer, the enrollment contract, and other required enrollment forms.
You sign the contract and fill out the forms (required by the Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care .
Your child has a one-on-one orientation visit at the school just before their first day.
Your child starts attending Nye Beach Montessori School!

Tuition

Tuition rates for the 2025/2026 academic year are:

Half day: $6,630/year
Full day: $9,920/year
Summer 2026 rates: Half day: $190/week, Full day: $255/week

Enrollment is an annual commitment.

Tuition may be paid in full before enrollment, or in monthly installments, with tuition split into monthly payments over the 10-month academic year. Tuition is prorated for children who start during the middle of the year.

Families are billed according to the schedule selected (one-time or monthly). Invoices can be paid electronically (ACH) or by check.
